Literature Text

The snow falls as ice freezes to my cheeks,
and I shudder in the freezing gale.
Once a warm sky that’s now cold and pale.
The tears in your eyes are frozen antiques.
They tell the tales of wars from inside.
My new wounds bring forth a new type of blood.
Disoriented, I pass in a scud,
trying desperately to hold onto pride.

There’s no use mourning what has come to pass.
Leave Winter behind and look toward the Spring.
The cold's damage will melt away like tears.
New flowers will bloom up from the green grass.
I will carry along as the birds sing.
You’ll be frozen in Winter with your fears.
Moving to new life.

I really like imagery that this one creates. :)
